| Tuesday 10 January 2012 | WIN Annual General Meeting 2012 will take place on Tuesday 10 January, from 4pm. The meeting will be hosted by Chattertons at their offices at Trentside Business Village, Farndon Road, Newark NG24 4XB (behind the Lord Ted pub). There is ample free parking and as usual light refreshments will be available. The agenda will include Chairman's Report, Treasurer's Report, election of officers for 2012 and election of chosen charity for 2012. You will receive a reminder at the beginning of January, at which point I will be asking for confirmation of attendance - in the meantime, enjoy your Christmas and New Year celebrations. |

7.15pm for 7.30pm | Fun Wine Quiz Our ever-popular annual Wine Quiz returns in August. Once again, the event will be hosted by Ann Hayes of Ann et Vin; tickets for the evening are £12.50 each, including wines for the tasting/quiz and a light buffet supper. They will be available at the May meeting but in the meantime, you may want to reserve yours now - places are limited to 36 and always sell fast! |
| July 23 | Birds on Bikes Leather and Lace WIN secretary Marilyn Sharp is one of the organisers of the Birds on Bikes Leather and Lace fashion show. Held at the Roman Way, it starts at 4pm and tickets are just £5 - proceeds to Guide Dogs for the Blind. Ian Gillanders will be leading a 90-minute Ghost Walk around Newark town centre - tickets are £4 each (payable on the night) and we meet outside the Tourist Information Centre on Castlegate for a prompt departure at 6pm. |
